Moon Rocks

As the rainy days continue I am daydreaming about the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. I haven’t been in a few years and I’m looking forward to going in February! It’s a place where my imagination can run wild and I’m hoping to get inspiration and of course purchasing beautiful gems to use in my mosaics. Dealers come form all over the world with everything imaginable and it takes days to go through the whole thing. Woohoo!

I will be looking for some different and interesting pillar type stones. Like these I recently made. 9add picture) I used Red Quart, also referred to as Hematoid Quartz, for the first time and love it. It is a stone which inspires strength (who can’t use that!). I have several heart rocks made with it. The purple is Lepidolite and is sometimes called the “lullaby stone”, helps with inner peace. I haven’t been able to find this stone so I’m hoping to find it in Tucson.

In October I filmed my Heart Rock Class. It took hours and hours of filming but I finally have it finished and for sale. I’m offering a free semi-precious rock to anyone buying in January and I would love to have feedback from buyers. I also have kits to accompany the video but you must have your own tools. I am available by phone to all who purchase it for any questions.

And some exciting news, the YES Store in Santa Barbara will be open all year at a great locations on State St. Its a cozy Artists gallery with about 30 local Artists which has been a staple pop up store for many years. This season they decided to stay open and I am very happy to be a participating Artist.

So I will now be in two retail locations, OVA Arts in Ojai and The Yes Store in Santa Barbara.
